I have practiced in both state and federal court for over 30 years in both large and small firms and have tried over 35 jury trials involving issues of employment, tort, insurance, commercial, probate and bankruptcy. I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants including small family businesses, individuals and fortune 500 companies. I have also represented professional clients before licensing boards and administrative agencies.
I understand the cost, financially and emotionally, of civil disputes and the work that attorneys do that is never appreciated by the public. My background as a trial attorney, formal training as a mediator, and volunteer mediator work for the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court for which I received the Mediation Service Award for 2015 has taught me that due to the risk involved in taking a case to trial, an attorney should (almost) always first go through a mediation in order to better understand their case and to also have an objective third party educate their client of the risks involved in not settling.
